Following the orientations of this Chair, on November 21st, 2013, a study was promoted on the ethical values present in people who lead or actively collaborate in environmental organizations. A survey was presented to the attendees on the conclusions of the Conference on ethical values in environmentalism (summary), which was held at the University of Alcalá.
The main lines of the survey and the workshop were:
1. Which philosophical or theological stance best defines the motivation of a person concerned with environmental conservation?
2. What ethical values accompany a person who actively promotes environmental conservation? What is your position on bioethical issues not directly related to environmental conservation (beginning and end of human life, research with embryos, cloning, etc.)?
